About
The short version.
I’m Kevin Dechamps. I spent 15 years running e-commerce on the brand side before starting Beyond Peaks. I’ve been the person writing the brief, the person building the platform, and the person staring at the P&L – sometimes all three in the same week.
I started Beyond Peaks because I kept seeing the same problem: brands outgrow their agency but can’t justify a €200K director hire. What they need is one senior person who owns acquisition, retention, and tech as a single connected system – not three vendor relationships to manage.
So that’s what I do. I take the whole channel, I run it myself, and I build the systems that let one operator cover ground that normally takes a team. You get the senior person on your account, permanently, because there is nobody else to hand you to.

What I did before this
I started in tech – designing and architecting e-commerce platforms, managing dev teams, and selling enterprise solutions to large retailers. That took me from Belgium to the US, UK, and Singapore.
From there I moved to the brand side: directing e-commerce operations for a major retail chain, then managing accounts for brands like Olympus and P&G.
Then I built my own e-commerce brand, scaled it, and sold it. That’s where most of how I work comes from. When it’s your own money in the Ads Manager, you develop a very low tolerance for vanity metrics.
Since then I’ve run e-commerce for DTC brands across luxury skincare, technical outdoor equipment, sports accessories, and specialty retail – most under agreements that keep the names off a website. The work is the same either way: own the channel, own the number.
Why I don’t trust your ROAS number
Most agencies are incentivised to make you happy, not profitable. They’ll show you a blended 8x ROAS and everyone high-fives.
But if your ROAS is up and your bank account is flat, something is wrong.
It’s easy to inflate ROAS. Dump budget into branded keywords — people already searching for your name — and claim credit for revenue you would have earned anyway. It looks brilliant in a deck. It generates zero net new customers.
I report on MER: Marketing Efficiency Ratio. Total money out versus total money in. It’s a harder number to move and it doesn’t always look impressive in a weekly report, but it’s the only one that proves I’m growing your business rather than taking credit for demand you already had.

How I work
Direct access
You message me, not a mailbox. No account managers, no gatekeepers, no tickets.
Honest numbers
I report on profit and MER. If something isn’t working, you’ll hear it from me before you spot it yourself.
No B-team
I design the strategy, do the work, and own the outcome. Production tasks go to a bench of specialists; the decisions never do.
Proactive, not reactive
I don’t wait for you to ask “what’s next.” Finding the next opportunity is part of the job.
Outside of work
I’m Belgian by birth and based in Malta. I’ve lived in five countries, which is mostly useful for knowing how differently the same product sells in different markets.
I train for marathons and triathlons. It’s not a metaphor for anything – I just like it.
Is the fit right?
I take on a small number of brands at a time, because each one gets all of me rather than a slice of a team. If you’re doing €2M+ and want an owner rather than a vendor, let’s talk.
